Appeals, Complaints, and Disputes

APPEALS, COMPLAINTS, AND DISPUTES

All appeals, complaints or disputes regarding editorial decisions should be communicated formally to the PJCD Editor-in-Chief (see Contact information).  These shall be handled in confidence through the following steps:

Initial Review: The journal's editorial team reviews the complaint or appeal to assess its validity and scope.

Investigation: An investigation is conducted to ensure fairness, confidentiality, and procedural transparency.

Resolution: The journal aims to resolve the matter within 30 working days. If systemic issues are identified, corrective actions may be taken.

Escalation: In cases where the decision remains unresolved, the journal may escalate the matter to an independent advisory committee for final decision.

These policies are designed to ensure that all complaints and appeals are handled promptly, transparently, and fairly, maintaining the integrity of the editorial process. Authors and other stakeholders are encouraged to submit their complaints or appeals in writing to the journal's editorial office, providing all necessary details and supporting evidence.
